Awakening a nerve:
Jun. 15th, 2008 10:41 pmDarkness.
Fluid darkness.
And then a sudden emergence.
Scorpius sits up abruptly, eyes wide, coughing fluid from his lungs. His breathing is ragged. Fluid sprays from his teeth in fits as he begins to breathe in and out.
Control. He must control his body. Slowly, his head twitching, he brings himself back under control. He must not merely react, but take control of his situation.
He is naked. Immediately, his first thought is that he has been taken by the Scarrens -- stripped of his identity. Perhaps they seek to drive him mad with heat. And it will unfortunately work unless he can do something to stop it.
Limbs refusing to work, Scorpius wills them to move. His shaking arms grasp the edges of the pod and push him up. His shaking legs are moved to the side and placed flat on the ground.
Now. To stand.
A hissing sound comes from behind him. He turns to see tentacles moving towards him... long, organic tentacles. He attempts to move, but his limbs rebel. The tentacles coil around him as he hisses and struggles in their grasp. They move him down darkened hallways, while Scorpius struggles... but he also keeps his eyes open, mapping the hallways as he goes. He'll need to know as much as he can when he effects his escape.
And then they stop. The tentacles place him gently on the ground. Before him, laid out on an organic slab, is a familiar black leather suit.
His coolant suit.
This... is not what he expected in the least.

He's so pleased to note that they have such an excellent timekeeping method around here.
"And where are the Peacekeeper Territories in relation to here?"

Date: 2008-06-16 07:03 am (UTC)John Crichton and the crew of Moya? This location certainly seems to be bio-mechanoid in some way... but they have a different way of going about things. This seems unlikely as well... though slightly more probable than the other possibilities. You never know what to expect with Crichton.
But no. The most likely possibility is that this is a new player on the field.
And Scorpius has just been brought directly into their den. They plan to use him. And he will allow them to think that they control him... for now.
"Am I free to move about?" he finally asks after considering the possibilities for a long moment.
